Arriving late at night in Vegas, we decide to sleep at the airport overnight before picking up the rental car at 6am in the morning. The seats don't allow for very comfortable sleep but we manage to doze off ... that is until a super-loud Chinese tour guide woke us all up.

After a long drive from Vegas into Zion National Park, we find out that it is Spring Break and traffic is crazy. We were amazingly lucky to get a parking spot so late in the day and quickly hopped on to a shuttle to where we'd start hiking. Soon after we started hiking, we encountered deer.

Along the trail to the Emerald Pools. There is a waterfall that people need to walk under and everyone can get wet at this spot. Everyone of course attempts to skirt around the falling water (often failing...)

I had forgotten how impressive Zion National Park was in person. The canyon is just so immense and vast when just hiking through.

The result of Spring Break. Everyone and their families were hiking the emerald pool trail. It is unfortunately one of the easier hikes to do in the park and since we were pretty tired from sleeping in the airport -- this was the only trail to tackle.

As we were wrapping up the hike, the lighting and the water along the river was perfect for photographers.

Waking up in the middle of Utah and more specifically on what could be considered a ranch is a very unique experience. Great view regardless.

A local recommended family-run Mexican restaurant called Escobar's. Good food and definitely good Chile Verde (green chili).

It is always impressive to walk through these narrow areas through the canyon.

Now arriving at Switchback Paradise as we make our way towards "Thor's Hammer" -- one of the major formations in Bryce Canyon.
